Ryan Weis, Portfolio Manager
Ryan Weis of Old Tappan, NJ, is a senior Finance major and Economics minor. While majoring in Finance, Ryan pursued an enhanced background in accounting as well. His academic performance landed him on the dean’s list for six straight semesters and two honors societies, Beta Gamma Sigma and Lambda Epsilon Sigma. Ryan interned at Forsa Construction in the Summer of 2019, where he generated Excel reports, audited previously paid Union benefits, and created entries into QuickBooks. He is very involved on campus as he is a member of the varsity football team, a Teacher’s Assistant for Managerial Accounting, a part of the leadership team for Team IMPACT, and is on the board for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
Sarah Bessette, Senior Analyst and Director of Research
Sarah Bessette, from Woonsocket, RI, is a senior Finance major and Data Analytics minor. Her outstanding academic performance awarded her membership in the Stonehill Moreau Honors Program. She also received the Moriarty Scholar Award in 2018-20, which is given to the student with the highest GPA for each class year in the business department. Outside of SCIFI, Sarah was a Resident Assistant for several years, continues duties as a Teaching Assistant for several courses, and is the Business Administrative Assistant work-study student for the Leo J. Meehan School of Business. She is the President of the Financial Management Association, involved in Launch with the Women in Finance club and participated in the H.O.P.E. Service Immersion trip to Haverhill, MA. This past summer, Sarah interned at Dell Technologies as a Financial Analyst on the North America Enterprise Business Operations Team and will join Dell’s Finance Development Program following graduation.
Hampton Williams Boyd, Analyst
Hampton Williams Boyd, from Holliston, MA, is a senior Accounting major. In the summer of 2019, Hampton served as the accounts receivable intern at W.B. Mason, where he gained hands-on experience in many business and accounting procedures. Unfortunately, Hampton could not participate in his planned Audit & Tax Internship this past summer due to COVID-19 restrictions but plans to pursue his interest in public accounting after graduation. During the school year, he actively participates in the Accounting Association at Stonehill. In his spare time, Hampton enjoys going to the gym and playing intramural basketball on campus.
Will DeMayo, Analyst
Will DeMayo, from Peabody, MA, is a senior Finance major. This past summer, he interned with Commonwealth Financial Group out of their Bedford, NH office where he spent his time building a marketing program centered around three main pillars: Lead Generation, Client Experience, and Operational Tasks. Will previously had internships with the Francis Ouimet Memorial Fund and the Defense Contract Audit Agency. In the fall of 2019, Will participated in Stonehill’s immersive “Stonehill in the City” program, spending the semester in Los Angeles, California. While in Los Angeles, he held a position as a Finance Intern completing job-cost analyses for GHBW, a general contractor that builds luxury homes and commercial real estate spaces in the West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Malibu area. Will has been highly involved on campus, serving as the Vice President of the Class of 2021, the Vice President of Career Development for the Financial Management Association, and a voting member on the college’s Finance Committee. Will was recently awarded the James E. Hayden Memorial Business Scholarship for his campus involvement and academic success in the business program.
Sean Heffron, Analyst
Sean Heffron, from Lynnfield, MA, is a junior Finance major and Data Analytics minor. His strong academic performance has earned him a position on the Dean's List for the past three semesters, and admission admitted into the SCIFI program at the end of his sophomore year. His strong interest in Finance led him to become a financial analyst for Breakaway Ice Center the summer following his freshman year. At BIC, Sean researched the Virtual and Augmented Reality markets for an investment project in addition to working with the company's financial statements and expense reports. Although internship plans were postponed this past summer due to the novel coronavirus, Sean allocated his time towards his role at SCIFI, completed the CFA Institutes Program, gained additional financial skills through his Financial Management Association membership, and worked on his personal portfolio of 10 securities. Outside the classroom and SCIFI, Sean is very active around campus, serving as the Co-President and Captain for the Men's Club Hockey program at Stonehill.
Benjamin Moskey, Analyst
Benjamin Moskey, from Granby, CT, is a senior Finance major and Economics minor. His strong academic performance made him a frequent recipient of the Dean’s List award. In the summer of his freshman year, he interned at KCAP Financial in New York City, where he discovered his passion for finance. In the fall of 2019, Benjamin studied abroad in Geneva, Switzerland. This experience allowed him to work for Monnaie Leman, a local cryptocurrency institution. He presented research on how cryptocurrency and blockchain technology will impact the future of currency. Benjamin is also very involved on campus; he serves as the Vice President of both Stonehill’s Taekwondo Club and the College’s Co-ed Acapella Group, Surround Sound.
Patrick Passatempo, Analyst
Patrick Passatempo, from Lynnfield, MA, is a senior double major in Finance and Economics with a minor in Healthcare Administration. His academic performance has earned him standing as a top-five finance student by GPA in the class of 2021. Patrick has also been on the dean’s list for four consecutive semesters. Over the summer of 2019 and the summer of 2020, Patrick interned in the finance department at Shields Healthcare Group. His strong academic performance in his finance landed Patrick the role this year as a Teaching Assistant for BUS320 Corporate Finance. He is also a member of two honors societies: Beta Gamma Sigma and Lambda Epsilon Sigma. Outside of academics and work, Patrick enjoys reading and researching philosophy, psychology, economics, finance, and politics.
Daniel Welsome, Analyst
Daniel Welsome, from Brooklyn, NY, is a senior Finance major and Economics minor. His academic performance earned him a position on the Dean’s list for the past two semesters. During his winter breaks, Daniel works with his family at Welsome Tax Prep, assisting in Data Entry and Client Relations. Outside of SCIFI, Daniel is an active member of Stonehill’s Division 2 Varsity Football Team, participates in the Financial Management Association, and volunteers at the Boys & Girls Club of Brockton.
